The implementation of an increase in service fees for important citizen services has been suspended by the High Court.
This decision was made by Justice Lawrence Mugambi, who issued conservatory orders to prevent the government from enforcing the fees until the matter is heard and resolved.
The fees were challenged in court by Dr. Magari Gikenyi, a private citizen.
The ruling stated that Gazette Notices No. 15239-15242 dated 6th November 2023 and any other documents authorizing the increase or review of charges/fees/levies specified therein are suspended until the Application inter-partes is heard and determined.
