Georgina Njenga Found After Eric Omondi’s Public Appeal, Taken to Chiromo Hospital
Content creator Georgina Njenga has been found, a day after comedian and activist Eric Omondi asked the public to help him locate her.
Omondi shared the update on Friday, 2 October 2026. A video showed him visiting Georgina, who was with her mother. She has been taken to Chiromo Hospital Group in Lavington, Nairobi, where she is expected to receive treatment.
The Appeal
His search began a day earlier. On Thursday, 1 October, Omondi posted a public appeal and shared a phone number for anyone who knew where she was.
“We watched Stoopid Boy deteriorate before our eyes. We will not lose another person.”
He said Georgina has a daughter who needs her more than anything.
Why People Were Worried
The concern followed a series of Instagram Stories Georgina posted in the last week of September. In one, she wrote that she was fighting for her baby and her life.
Minutes later, she posted another message that referred to her own death. In it, she said she had told followers she was “dying this year”.
A friend then messaged her privately to ask if she was in the right state of mind. Georgina shared a screenshot of that exchange on her Stories.
Worry grew after reports that she had been seen outside a supermarket, appearing distressed.
“She Is NOT Okay at All”
Omondi later posted a video on Instagram with a caption that read:
“Hey guys huyu hatutampoteza, Her daughter needs her and she is NOT okay at all. We will take her to Chiromo because they have the best Mental Health Services.”
Mental Health and the Pressure of Public Life
The wider picture in Kenya is stark. The Ministry of Health says one in four patients seeking primary healthcare has a mental health condition.
The Kenya National Taskforce on Mental Health has reported symptoms in up to 25 per cent of outpatients and 40 per cent of inpatients in health facilities.
Public Reaction
Many Kenyans have praised Omondi for acting quickly. Others have urged followers to be kind and to avoid speculating about her health.
The focus now shifts to Georgina’s recovery, with her family and well-wishers hoping she receives the support she needs.
