Content creator Ciggie Johnson has sparked debate online after sharing his views on how men should interpret the lavish lifestyles some women display on social media.

Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna, Johnson argued that expensive-looking social media posts do not always reflect a person’s actual financial situation.

‘Don’t Believe Everything You See Online’

Johnson said some men mistakenly assume that women who frequently post luxury experiences are financially well-off.

“Acha nisaidie wanaume huku nje juu kuna watu hawana field experience.”

According to him, appearances on social media can be misleading.

He claimed that some women who post photos with expensive drinks or in luxury settings may not be able to afford those lifestyles on a regular basis.

“Most of these girls that drink expensive alcohol and post it can not afford it even on a good day.”

Johnson further alleged that some people take photos or videos with drinks purchased by others before sharing the content online, creating an impression of wealth that may not reflect reality.

His remarks quickly generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing while others disagreed with his generalization.

Earlier Comments on Marriage and Alcohol

Johnson’s latest remarks come just days after he explained why he believes he could never marry a woman who drinks alcohol.

Speaking in an interview with Bessy Blessing, he said he associates alcohol with poor decision-making, unhealthy friendships and infidelity.

“Their misbehaviour is too much. Even when somebody has good morals, they end up being influenced, first by alcohol and secondly by their friends.”

When asked whether his opinion was based on personal experience, Johnson said it stemmed from what he has observed over the years.

“I have seen many incidents. A married woman should stay very far away from clubs. Cheating is too common where alcohol is involved.”

His comments have continued to fuel conversations on relationships, social media culture and differing expectations in modern dating.
