Kenyan media personality Gloria Ntazola has sparked online debate after mocking Arsenal F.C. supporters over their emotional celebrations following the club’s historic English Premier League title win.
Arsenal recently secured the Premier League crown, ending a painful 22-year wait since their famous “Invincibles” triumph in 2004 under legendary manager Arsène Wenger.
While millions of Arsenal supporters across the world celebrated the long-awaited success, Gloria appeared amused by how intensely fans reacted to the victory.
Gloria Teases Arsenal Fans
Speaking in a playful but sharp tone, Gloria compared Arsenal fans to students who are used to poor academic performance suddenly managing to pass an exam.
“Fans wa Arsenal wanabehave kama those E students wenye wamezoea kuscore zero, and for the first time they score 54 per cent in chemistry, so everybody has to know about it.”
Her comments quickly attracted reactions online, especially from Arsenal supporters who defended their right to celebrate after waiting more than two decades for league glory.
“Hamjazoea Wins?”
Gloria questioned why Arsenal supporters had turned the title victory into what she described as a prolonged public celebration.
“Come on, chill. What is it? Mnabehave aje?”
According to her, the celebrations had become impossible to ignore.
“Hamjazoea wins, so you are making it everybody’s problem.”
The media personality continued by joking that Arsenal fans had stretched the celebrations for too long.
“You can’t make this a whole weekend celebration, a whole week’s celebration.”
She ended her remarks with another playful jab directed at supporters.
“Hamjazoea wins?”
Social Media Reactions Erupt
Her comments immediately fueled online football banter, with rival fans joining the discussion while Arsenal supporters defended their excitement.
Football rivalry culture remains one of the biggest drivers of conversations on Kenyan social media, especially surrounding the English Premier League.
Fans of rival clubs frequently exchange jokes, memes, and criticism after major victories or disappointing losses.
For Arsenal supporters, however, the title represented far more than just another trophy.
Arsenal End 22-Year Wait
The league victory marked Arsenal’s first English top-flight championship since the unforgettable 2003–04 season, when the club went unbeaten throughout the entire campaign.
That historic squad earned the nickname “The Invincibles” and remains one of the most celebrated teams in football history.
After years of near misses, rebuilding phases, and criticism from rivals, Arsenal fans finally witnessed their club return to the summit of English football.
The achievement triggered massive celebrations globally, including in Kenya, where the Premier League enjoys one of the largest fan bases in Africa.
Judging by the reactions online, Arsenal supporters may still be celebrating for quite some time.
