Woman Arrested at Buruburu Police Station After Bhang Found Hidden in Loaf of Bread
A 26-year-old woman was arrested at Buruburu Police Station after officers found 12 rolls of bhang hidden inside a loaf of bread and in her jacket pocket.
Bernice Achieng Otieno was reportedly visiting her boyfriend at the station when the discovery was made.
How the Bhang Was Discovered
According to police reports, officers became suspicious of Otieno during a routine search at the station’s entrance. Upon inspecting her belongings, they found a loaf of bread that appeared unusually heavy.
A closer examination revealed 12 rolls of bhang concealed inside the loaf. Additional rolls were allegedly found hidden in her jacket pocket.
The suspect was immediately detained and is expected to face charges related to possession of narcotics.
A Growing Concern
The incident highlights the creative methods being used to smuggle contraband into police stations and other secured facilities. Police have intensified searches at station entrances in recent months following similar incidents across the country.
