Bishop Ben has addressed allegations surrounding the Ksh2.5 million raised at JCM Church, clarifying his role and responding to claims made by Mc Chris Kirubi Junior on TikTok Live.

The funds, which were raised through a combined effort involving TikTokers and bikers, were intended to support the Kaluma family. According to Bishop Ben, the money was deposited directly into the family’s account, with Ksh800,000 in cash handed to Kaluma Boy Ke and his brother. The Bishop maintains that he was never involved in any direct payment or handling of money from the family.

The Land and House Project

Bishop Ben explained that after discussions with Mofarm JM, the family agreed to purchase an acre of land in Chaka for farming purposes. Bishop Ben convinced Mofarm to give the family a quarter plot for free on the land where the house is built, allowing them to utilize the full acre for farming.

The project included:

  • Construction of a house for the family
  • Three extra rooms for the boys
  • Installation of gypsum and glasses (funded by a Ksh500,000 cheque from Bishop Ben)

Bishop Ben stated that the house is now 98% complete, with Doc Maina Shamata providing tiles and the paint donated. Electricity has also been connected through PS for Energy Hon Wachira.

Medical Support Provided

Bishop Ben detailed the medical support given to the family:

  • Baba Kaluma was kept at Jumuia Hospital Huruma for two months
  • Almost Ksh1 million was paid for medical expenses
  • A therapist was assigned to Baba Kaluma, with Ksh60,000 sent to cover costs
  • The patient can now walk, eat independently, and catheters have been removed

Education and Other Support

Through Bishop Ben’s sister Wanja Nyarari, a scholarship was secured for Kaluma at university. Bishop Ben also covered expenses at Vazihub, including clothes, costing Ksh367,000. He questioned why Kaluma has been absent from school and raised concerns about his recent behavior, threatening to release CCTV footage from Mofarm apartments if pressured further.

The Poshomill and Family Disagreements

Bishop Ben noted that the poshomill remains at the church premises, with no family members showing interest in utilizing it. He highlighted disagreements within the family:

  • The mother is requesting that construction money be refunded and the land sold
  • Kaluma’s sister insists the house should be completed and the farm maintained

Questions Raised by Bishop Ben

The Bishop posed several questions to the public:

  1. Who raised the 17 million and which account was used?
  2. Who did payments for the whole construction?
  3. Why is the mother requesting a refund while the sister wants the house completed?
  4. Why did they reject the free construction services offered by Mr. Ibu-wa Ndung’u?

Bishop Ben concluded by reiterating that he did not touch or authorize any transaction on behalf of the family. He stated that Mofarm will shortly issue a clearer statement on the allegations raised by Mc Chris Kirubi Junior.
