Popular long-distance bus operator Ena Coach has announced revised fares for passengers travelling to and from several towns across Kenya, including Nairobi and Mombasa.

The new fare schedule, published on Wednesday, July 15, introduces additional routes and slight adjustments to some existing ticket prices, with passengers travelling to Nairobi set to pay between Ksh1,700 and Ksh1,800, while all listed routes to Mombasa will attract a flat fare of Ksh3,000.

Ena Coach Nairobi Fares

According to the latest fare schedule, passengers travelling from the following towns to Nairobi will pay Ksh1,800:

  • Port Victoria
  • Busia
  • Nyadorera
  • Usenge
  • Luanda
  • Mbale

Meanwhile, the following routes have been priced at Ksh1,700:

  • Kisumu – Ahero – Nairobi
  • Oyugis – Kisii – Nairobi
  • Mbita – Homa Bay – Kisii – Nairobi
  • Sirare – Migori – Bomet – Nairobi
  • Kehancha – Awendo – Narok – Nairobi

A comparison with the fare schedule released in June shows that the Nairobi–Kisumu route has been reduced by Ksh100, making it one of the few routes to receive a fare cut.

Mombasa Routes to Cost Ksh3,000

Ena Coach has maintained a uniform fare of Ksh3,000 for all listed routes travelling to Mombasa.

These include:

  • Sori – Rongo – Mombasa
  • Mbita – Kisii – Mombasa
  • Kehancha – Kisii – Sotik – Narok – Mombasa
  • Busia – Maseno – Kisumu – Mombasa
  • Port Victoria – Siaya – Bondo – Ahero – Mombasa

The company says the fares apply across its expanded network and encourages passengers to book early through its mobile application or customer service channels.

Fare Changes Come After EPRA Fuel Price Review

The announcement comes just days after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) retained fuel prices for the next 30 days beginning July 15, 2026.

Current pump prices remain:

  • Super Petrol: Ksh214.03 per litre (Nairobi)
  • Diesel: Ksh222.86 per litre
  • Kerosene: Ksh191.38 per litre

EPRA attributed the decision to continued government measures aimed at cushioning consumers against fluctuations in global oil prices.

Despite stable fuel prices, most long-distance bus companies have not announced major fare changes, making Ena Coach one of the first operators to publish an updated pricing schedule following the latest fuel review.

Travellers planning journeys to Nairobi, Mombasa and other destinations are advised to confirm fares and reserve seats in advance through Ena Coach’s official booking platforms.
