Kenyans can now secure affordable funeral insurance for their families with premiums starting from just Ksh1,000 annually, following the launch of the Heshima Farewell Plan by Britam.

The policy, rolled out through Britam Connect in partnership with Montezuma Funeral Home, aims to ease the financial burden that comes with burial and funeral arrangements.

Approved by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), the plan provides end-to-end funeral support, including mortuary services, transport, and burial arrangements across the country.

Flexible Cover for Kenyan Families

The Heshima Farewell Plan is designed for both nuclear and extended families, offering four tiers: Basic, Standard, Executive, and Platinum.

For nuclear families—defined as a principal member, spouse, and up to four children—premiums range from Ksh1,000 to Ksh1,850 annually.

At the top tier, families can receive up to Ksh500,000 per spouse and Ksh100,000 per child, making it one of the most comprehensive low-cost funeral insurance options currently available in Kenya.
