The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Authority has announced 400 internship positions for the Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) Cohort IX intake. These internships, open to recent university graduates, will run for 12 months across both the public and private sectors.

The available positions are distributed across various specializations:

  • Network and Digital Infrastructure: 150 positions
  • Software Development and AI: 100 positions
  • Information Security: 50 positions
  • Multimedia (Graphic Design) and Digital Marketing: 50 positions
  • Data Analysis: 50 positions

To be eligible, applicants must have graduated with First or Upper Second-Class Honours in relevant fields such as BSc. ICT or Engineering (Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunication, Software) within the last two years (from January 2022). Those awaiting graduation by December 2024 can also apply, provided they submit a recommendation letter and transcript indicating the expected honours.

Applicants must be Kenyan youths aged between 21 and 29, unemployed, and must not have participated in any previous government internship programs, including those under the Public Service Commission. The ICT Authority has emphasized that candidates should be prepared for deployment in any government organization within the 47 counties on a full-time basis (8 am to 5 pm).

The authority strongly encourages applications from females, persons with disabilities, and graduates from Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) regions.

Interested individuals must submit their applications online through https://digitalent.go.ke/ by September 16, 2024.
