Frank Lampard was sacked by Chelsea Football Club on January 25, 2021, due to a string of poor results and performances. Despite being a club legend and having a successful playing career at Chelsea, Lampard was unable to turn around the team’s form during his time as the manager.

During the 2020-21 season, Chelsea struggled to find consistency in their performances and were hovering around mid-table in the Premier League. Despite having invested heavily in the summer transfer window, the new signings had failed to deliver the expected results, and the team was struggling to score goals.

After a run of five defeats in eight Premier League games, the club’s hierarchy decided to part ways with Lampard and bring in Thomas Tuchel as the new manager. Tuchel was seen as a more experienced and proven manager, with a track record of success in Europe.

While Lampard’s sacking was a difficult decision for the club, it was seen as a necessary step to try and turn around the team’s fortunes and salvage the season.
