I later on saw him off and went back to the crib. Maya had cried her eyes sore; I lacked the proper words to use to comfort her. I took her by the hand and held her in a tight embrace. The heat on me quickly melted.

I had never anticipated for it to get to this, I had only looked forward for fun, I had hoped for her to be the side dish or rather my sin partner. I felt her pain. I wasn’t so sure if truly I would be willing to hold her hand let alone even love her fully.
