KUCCPS Reports Record-Breaking Traffic on Placement Portal 15 Help Centers to the Rescue

If you’re a student gearing up to apply for your post-secondary education in Kenya through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), you might have encountered some challenges accessing the application portal. Rest assured, you’re not alone in facing these hiccups.

KUCCPS has come forward to address these concerns, citing high traffic as the primary culprit behind the difficulties encountered by students during the application process. With nearly 900,000 candidates sitting for the 2023 national examinations, it’s understandable why the system might be feeling the strain.

Despite these challenges, KUCCPS is urging students to persevere and continue their application efforts through the system. The message is clear: keep trying until you succeed. The application portal, which opened on Thursday, is meant to serve all 2023 KCSE students, as well as those from previous years up to 2022. This broad scope of eligibility naturally contributes to the overwhelming traffic.

To assist students in need of guidance or support with their applications, KUCCPS has provided resources at various Huduma Centres across the country. These centres, located in strategic areas including Nairobi, Eldoret, Nakuru, Kisumu, and others, offer assistance to applicants. Additionally, support is available at all Huduma Centre cyber cafes, ensuring accessibility to those who require aid.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the congestion during peak hours, consider timing your application attempts during less busy periods, such as late at night or early in the morning. This strategic approach, coupled with a stable network connection, can increase your chances of navigating through the application process smoothly.

Remember, the application portal will remain open until February 22, 2024, giving you ample time to submit your applications. Don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance if you encounter any difficulties along the way.

Your pursuit of higher education is a journey filled with challenges, but with perseverance and determination, you’ll overcome any obstacles that come your way. Keep striving for your goals, and best of luck with your applications!
